Our mission is to offer opportunities for your child to enjoy fun and challenging programs and activities while developing a sense of fitness awareness, self-confidence, and self-esteem while the parent enjoys a workout. Our experienced and friendly team is dedicated to the safety and well-being of every child at all times and is committed to providing quality child care in a secure, creative, and safe environment.
Members with children in Kid City or KidFit must remain in the Fitness Center during the entire visit. Use of the walking trail around the Fort Sanders West campus is allowed, however, members must notify Kid City or KidFit staffs and leave their cell phone number. While using the trail, members must have their cell phones with them and on the ring mode at all times.
Kid City and KidFit
These departments provide supervised, age-appropriate activities for our young members that are included in family and single parent memberships. The activities range from free play and games to enrichment programs.
KidFit and Kid City are designed to keep children engaged and active while in our care.
To sign up for any activity in Kid City or KidFit, please talk to a Youth Development Staff member. Click here for a description of our classes.
Youth Development Illness Policy
In order to maintain a clean and healthy environment for all children, we ask that you please refrain from bringing your child into group care if he or she:
- Is obviously not feeling well
- Is in the first 24 hours of antibiotic
- Has had a fever of 99 degrees or greater within the last 24 hours
- Is experiencing vomiting or diarrhea
- Has pink eye
- Has chicken pox rash or sores that has not completely scabbed over (minimum of 7 days from initial breakout)
- In regard to a green or yellow runny nose, constant cough, or rash, the child should be examined by a pediatrician or family physician to determine whether or not the child is contagious before visiting our child care areas. In this case, a doctor’s note indicating that the child is not contagious will be required if the child displays any of these symptoms.
- If while in our care, the child is experiencing any of the previous symptoms, a parent may be paged and asked to take the child out of group care.
