If you love tennis, Fort Sanders Health & Fitness Center offers you the chance to play 364 days a year! Our knowledgeable staff of USPTA /USPTR certified professionals are dedicated to serving up a great tennis experience at Fort Sanders Health and Fitness Center, one of the most active and successful full service tennis programs in greater Knoxville. Our Center has numerous tennis activities to choose from including USTA adult and junior team tennis, GKTA women's summer and fall interclub team tennis, daily group clinics and private instruction, in-house leagues, ladders, sanctioned tournaments, CardioTennis, and social events. Regardless of age, experience level, or physical condition, we have everything to offer the tennis enthusiast.
Our Center includes four comfort controlled indoor hard courts and six lighted outdoor hard courts.
Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday: 5:30 am - 10:00pm; Saturday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm; Sunday 10:00 am - 7:00 pm

| Adult Tennis Programming |
We offer numerous high-energy clinics for the beginner to the advanced player. Men, women, and coed NTRP 1.5 - 4.5 classes include the basics of stroke development and positioning, singles and doubles strategy, scoring and tennis etiquette, all with a minimum of three to a maximum of 6:1 student/ teacher ratio. Lots of fun, yet challenging and competitive tennis related drills and activities are included in a one and half hour action packed session. | Cardio Tennis |
Cardio Tennis is a fun group activity featuring drills to give players of all abilities the ultimate high-energy workout. Includes a warm-up, cardio workout, and cool-down phases resulting in a heart pumping fitness experience! | Leagues |
Leagues are for anyone (members & non-members) who wants to participate. Leagues are a great way to work on your skills, meet new people, have fun, and keep your game sharp. They are on-going with a six week commitment and are based on your appropriate NTRP level.

| Permanent Court Time |
Purchasing permanent court time saves you time calling for reservations each week and is the least expensive method of playing indoor tennis regularly. Permanent court time is not prorated. Members and non-members can reserve permanent court time for the same day and same time each week for 26 weeks between October and April. |

| Court Policies |
Courts may be reserved by a member up to 24 hours in advance by dropping by the front desk or calling 865-531-5000. Court reservations will be taken from opening until closing each day. Members under 12 may not reserve courts and may play only under the supervision of an adult. Only one reservation may be made at a time.

Racquetball
The Center features three championship racquetball courts. We offer regular league play and monthly racquetball clinics. Two of our courts are also convertible for squash play. The courts are also used for wallyball play a few nights a week and weekends (wallyball is a game played like volleyball, but on a court utilizing all four walls). To reserve your racquetball, squash, or wallyball court, contact the front desk at (865) 531-5000.
